
Wood Reassigned To Trenton

BRIDGEPORT, CT â The American Hockey League's 2001-02 Regular Season Champion and Eastern Conference Playoff Champion Bridgeport Sound Tigers, top affiliate of the National Hockey League's New York Islanders, have announced the reassignment of Defenseman Dustin Wood to the East Coast Hockey League's Trenton Titans.
Wood appeared in two games with the Sound Tigers this weekend and has played in four games with the team this season recording a +2 and two penalty minutes. He has also posted three goals, 21 assists, 24 points and 20 penalty minutes in 53 games with Trenton this season.
The Sound Tigers will open a three-game homestand when they host the Manitoba Moose this Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. at Bridgeport's Arena at Harbor Yard. They will also host the Manchester Monarchs Friday at 7:35 p.m. and the Binghamton Senators Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The Sound Tigers will visit the Springfield Falcons Sunday at 4 p.m. All Sound Tigers' games are broadcast live on "The ZONE" FOX Sports Radio 1300 AM and at www.soundtigers.com. WSTC/WNLK 1400/1350 AM also broadcasts road games.
