Wood Ducks and Down East Heating & Air to Recognize Local Hero

Down East Wood Ducks News Release


Kinston, N.C. - The Down East Wood Ducks and Down East Heating & Air Conditioning have teamed up to recognize a true local hero in Eastern North Carolina thanks to Bryant Heating and Cooling Systems. To celebrate Back to School weekend, one special individual in the education field will be recognized on Friday August 2nd prior to first pitch and will be presented a brand new home heating and air system as well as up to nine box seats for the game.

Please nominate your favorite school teacher (all grade levels apply) and tell us why they are deserving of this recognition.

To be eligible, your hero must:

- Be 18 years or older

- Be a resident of Eastern, North Carolina

- Have done something beyond what is normally expected

- Made a major impact on the community

Nominations must be a minimum of 150 words and submitted prior to 5 p.m. on Friday, July 26th. Please submit your deserving candidates to Alexa Kay at akay@woodducksbaseball.com.
