THE PUCK STOPS HERE

The Wolves have held their opponents to just six goals through the first four outings this season (1.50 per game), which shares first in the American Hockey League. Last season the Wolves allowed an average of 2.83 goals-against per game.

--- ONDREJ PAVELEC: Registered a 2-1-0 record in his past three starts ... Posted his fifth-career shutout, stopping all 25 shots he faced on Oct. 17 at Quad City ... Allowed two or fewer goals in all four outings this season ... Ranks fifth in the AHL with a 1.49 goals-against average and shares fourth with a .949 save percentage ... Recorded a 33-16-3 record in 52 outings with the Wolves last season ... Led rookie goaltenders and ranked second in the league with 33 wins, the second most in franchise history

--- COLIN STUART: Paces the club with three points (PPG, 2A) in four games this season ... Shares the team lead with a +2 plus/minus rating ... --- MATT ANDERSON: Notched the game-winning goal on Saturday ... Shares second on the club with two points (G, A) in two games this year ... Tallied two points (G, A) in 14 games with the Wolves last year, and 14 goals, 15 assists and 39 points in 37 matchups with Gwinnett (ECHL)

--- JORDAN LaVALLEE: Recorded his first goal of the season on Saturday ... Posted a career-high 42 points (20G, 22A) in 76 outings last year ... Made his NHL debut in two games with Atlanta last year, tallying his first NHL goal and an assist

WOLF TRACKS

--- Wolves Head Coach DON GRANATO claimed his first victory behind the Chicago bench at Quad City on Friday. The Downers Grove native also picked up the win in his home debut against Peoria on Saturday, becoming the fifth coach in Wolves history to win his first home contest.

--- Chicago's win on Saturday improved the club's all-time record in home openers to 9-5-0-1-0 (.633), and 3-1-0-0 in home debuts following a championship.

--- The Wolves have dented the net on the power-play just twice in 28 chances this season (7.1 percent). Last year Chicago potted a league-high 107 power-play markers and shared third in the AHL on the man-advantage at 20.8 percent (107 of 514).

--- The Wolves and Rampage combined for 88 penalty minutes on Wednesday night, the most between Chicago and an opponent this season; the clubs lock horns again in Chicago on Tuesday.

--- Chicago was held to one goal in its first three games this season before tickling the twine three times against Peoria on Saturday. The Wolves have registered a 1-6-3-0 mark since the start of last season when they are held to one or fewer goals.

--- The Wolves broke a 2-2 tie with 6:57 remaining in the game to skate away with a 3-2 victory in their 15th home opener before an American Hockey League-high 11,988 fans at the Allstate Arena Saturday night.
--- Center MATT ANDERSON netted the game-winning goal, while left wing JORDAN LaVALLEE and defenseman JAMIE RIVERS also potted tallies for the Wolves
--- Goaltender ONDREJ PAVELEC turned away 29 of 31 shots

Fri., Oct. 17

--- Goaltender ONDREJ PAVELEC stopped all 25 shots to lead Chicago to its first win of the year, a 1-0 blanking of the Quad City Flames at I Wireless Center Friday night.
--- Center GRANT STEVENSON provided the game's only offense with his first marker of the year at 1:07 of the second period.

Wed., Oct. 15

--- JOEY CRABB tied the game, 1-1, at 17:47 of the first period, but Chicago dropped an eventual 2-1 decision to the San Antonio Rampage at the AT&T Center Wednesday night.
--- Left wing COLIN STUART and center MATT ANDERSON assisted on the tally
--- Goaltender ONDREJ PAVELEC stopped 32 of 34 shots
