Hamilton travels to Toronto and Grand Rapids; Hosts Quad City this week

The Hamilton Bulldogs (American Hockey League affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens) will play three games this week, beginning with two North Division rival matches against Toronto Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs) at Ricoh Coliseum on Wednesday, October 22nd at 7:00 p.m. and the Grand Rapids Griffins (AHL affiliate of the Detroit Red Wings) at Van Andel Arena on Saturday, October 25th at 7:00 p.m. To finish the week, Hamilton will play host to the Quad City Flames (AHL affiliate of the Calgary Flames) at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 26th at Copps Coliseum.

Last week, Hamilton set a new franchise record for winning streak to start a season posting a 4-0-0-0 record in their first four games. On Friday, October 17th, the Bulldogs earned a 2-0 win over the Hartford Wolf Pack at Copps Coliseum. The 'Dogs continued their streak downing the Norfolk Admirals 6-3 in their final game of the week on Saturday October 18th at Copps Coliseum.

BULLDOGS NOTES:
- Bulldog rookie C Ben Maxwell (3-1-4) picked up a goal and an assist over the weekend to extend his point streak to four games.
- G Marc Denis turned away all 27 shots on Friday night marking his first shutout of the season and as a Bulldog.
- C Ryan Russell earned an assist and scored his first goal of the season in the two games this past week to extend his point streak to four games (1-3-4).
- The Bulldogs have won their first four games, setting a franchise record for most wins to start a season. The previous record of three wins was set during the 2002-2003 season.

- Montreal C Maxime Lapierre notched a shorthanded marker in a 4-3 win over Boston (Oct. 15)
- Montreal LW Andrei Kostitsyn posted a goal and an assist in a 5-3 victory over Philadelphia (Oct. 13)
- Boston RW Michael Ryder collected two assists in two games this past week with an assist in a 4-3 shootout loss to Montreal (Oct. 15) and an assist in a 4-2 win over Ottawa (Oct. 18)
- Dallas C Mike Ribeiro tallied two assists this past week, with an assist in a 6-4 victory against Nashville (Oct. 15) and an assist in a 5-4 loss against Colorado (Oct. 18)
- Columbus LW Jason Chimera recorded two goals last week, scoring against Nashville (Oct. 17) in a 5-3 win and potting a goal in a 6-3 loss to Nashville (Oct. 18)
