IT'S GETTING HOT IN HERE

With seven games remaining in the regular season, the Wolves sit in first place in the Midwest Division with 82 points (38-25-3-3); Chicago holds a three-point advantage over second-place Charlotte, but the Checkers have one game in hand. Third through 12th place in the Western Conference are separated by just eight points.

WOLVES HEADLINES

--- DARREN HAYDAR: Shared the team lead with 3 points (PPG, 2A) in two games last week ... Ranks first on Chicago with 33 assists and second with 51 points in 64 games this year ... Posted 3 goals and 6 points in his last five outings after accruing 3 goals and 6 points in his previous 18 games ... His 51 points this year marks the 10th time in 10 AHL seasons he has gone over the 50-point plateau

--- JORDAN SCHROEDER: Bagged the fourth two-goal game of his career on Thursday, which was his 10th multiple-point outing of the year ... Ranks second on the squad with 19 goals and third with 40 points while appearing in all 69 of Chicago's tilts this season ... Tallied 3 goals and 6 points in his last six outings after accruing 3 goals and 6 points in his previous 17 matchups ... Has surpassed the 10 goals, 18 assists, and 28 points he posted in 61 games as a rookie with the Manitoba Moose last season

--- NOLAN BAUMGARTNER: Dished out 3 assists in two games last week, which included his third multiple-point outing of the season on Thursday (2A) ... Ranks first among team defensemen with 18 assists and ranks second among team blueliners with 20 points in 55 contests this year ... Registered 5 points (5A) in his last five tilts after posting 5 points (G, 4A) in his previous 20 games

--- MARK MANCARI: Collected his 15th multiple-point outing of the year (G, A) and bagged the game-winning shootout strike on Thursday ... Paces the Wolves and shares seventh in the AHL with 28 goals and leads the team and is tied for 19th in the league with 55 points in 63 matchups this season ... Ranks first on Chicago and shares the league lead with 8 game-winners this year

--- BRAD HUNT: Scored his first professional goal on the power play, and added an assist on Thursday ... Tallied 3 assists and 4 points in eight games with Chicago since being signed to an Amateur Tryout Contract (ATO) on March 14 ... Led Bemidji State University with 21 assists and ranked third on the team with 26 points in 38 games during his senior campaign this year before signing with the Wolves

WOLF TRACKS

--- The Wolves continue their season-high seven-game road trip with games at San Antonio, Houston and Oklahoma City this week; Chicago, which has lost just seven times in regulation in its last 27 road contests (17-7-3-0) after posting a 1-4-0-1 mark in its first six away tilts this year, has recorded a 18-11-3-1 mark on enemy ice this season.

--- Chicago became the 30th and final AHL team to win a game when trailing after two periods in its 5-4 shootout victory over Abbotsford on Thursday; the Wolves, who trailed the Heat 4-3 heading into the third period, have posted a 1-19-0-0 mark when entering the final frame with a deficit this season.

--- Goaltenders EDDIE LACK and MATT CLIME each have posted 19 wins for the Wolves this year and, if they both reach the 20-win mark, it will mark the fifth time in franchise history the Wolves will have two netminders earn 20 or more wins in a season; the last coming in 2009-10 when Peter Mannino (26) and Drew MacIntyre (20) achieved the feat.

--- Chicago was perfect on the penalty kill for the 38th time this year on Friday, thwarting all three of Abbotsford's chances; the Wolves rank eighth in the AHL with an 83.8 efficiency rating on the penalty kill this season (217 of 259).

POWERING UP

--- The Wolves have tallied 7 power-play goals in 19 chances over their last five games, which included potting a season-high three man-advantage markers in four chances on Friday; Chicago shares 27th in the AHL with a 14.8 efficiency rating on the power play this season (44 of 297).

WOLVES REWIND (1-0-1-0)

Friday, March 30 (at) Abbotsford 4, Chicago 3 (OT) --- The Wolves recovered from a two-goal deficit, but fell 4-3 in overtime to the Abbotsford Heat at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre --- Forwards DARREN HAYDAR and MARK MANCARI and defenseman KEVIN CONNAUTON each bagged a power-play goal for Chicago --- Goaltender MATT CLIMIE kicked out 40 of 44 shots in regulation and overtime

Thursday, March 29 Chicago 5, (at) Abbotsford 4 (SO) --- The Wolves edged the Abbotsford Heat 5-4 in a shootout at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre --- Forwards JORDAN SCHROEDER (2G) and TIM MILLER and defenseman BRAD HUNT scored in regulation for Chicago --- Goaltender EDDIE LACK stopped 19 shots in regulation and overtime and all five attempts in the shootout
