NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals today released forward Bryan Brutlag from his Professional Tryout Contract (PTO), Admirals General Manager Julien BriseBois announced.

Brutlag, 5-foot-11, 189-pounds, has appeared in eight games with the Admirals this season, posting a plus-2 rating. He has appeared in 65 games for the ECHL's Gwinnett Gladiators this season, posting 20 goals and 46 points with 30 penalty minutes and a plus-4 rating.

The Admirals return Scope tomorrow night in search of their 23rd consecutive win as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins visit Norfolk for the final time in the regular season. The puck drops at 7:15 p.m. in the final Admirals Value Night of 2011-12.
