
'Wolves Fall to Senators

The SeaWolves never got on track on Friday night as they dropped the second game of a four-game series to the Harrisburg Senators 14-1.
The Sens jumped ahead in the first against Erie starter Austin Kubitza . Wilmer Difo singled and Brain Goodwin doubled to start the inning. Chris Bostick walked loading the bases. Shawn Pleffner singled home Difo for a 1-0 lead. A wild pitch then brought home Goodwin making it 2-0 Senators. With one out, Isaac Ballou lifted a sacrifice fly to left, plating Bostick for a 3-0 lead.
In the second, Harrisburg took a commanding lead. With one out, Adrian Sanchez struck out but reached on a wild pitch and was tripled home by Difo making it 4-0. Goodwin followed and sent a ball to Harold Castro at second with the infield in. Difo took off for home and Castro threw the ball away allowing the run to score. Harrisburg went on to score four more runs in the inning making it 9-0 in after two innings.
In the third, the Senators added a run off of Slade Smith. Sanchez led off with a single and moved into scoring position on a one-out Goodwin knock. Bostick singled home Sanchez for a 10-0 lead.
The SeaWolves lone run came in the last of the fifth against Brian Rauh . With one out, Alberto Gonzalez crushed a solo home run to left making it 10-1.
The Senators would go on to score four more runs on the Erie bullpen and won the game 14-1.
Kubitza (8-12) took the loss allowing nine runs, five earned, on seven hits with a walk and two strikeouts in 1.2 innings.
