LAST GAME: The Binghamton Mets beat the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, 9-5, Thursday at NYSEG Stadium to open the series. Binghamton took advantage of two Fisher Cats errors to score six runs in the fifth inning en route to the victory. Tyler Pill remained perfect, improving to 5-0 with the B-Mets despite walking six and allowing three runs in five innings. Xorge Carrillo hit his eighth home run of the year.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Matt Koch makes his fifth consecutive start and eighth of the season. He will be facing the Fisher Cats for the second straight outing, having allowed four runs in 5.1 innings in New Hampshire last time out, taking the loss. Koch has lost all four of his starts since being reinserted to the starting rotation and is in search of his first win since June 12th. Opponents are batting .319 against Koch in his last 15 appearances.

NEW HAMPSHIRE STARTER: RHP Taylor Cole makes his 26th start with the Fisher Cats and second consecutive against Binghamton. He got the victory against the B-Mets, taking a shutout into the ninth inning. Cole allowed two runs in eight-plus innings, as the Fisher Cats held on for the 4-3 victory last Sunday. It was the first win in five starts for Cole, who has posted a 5.49 ERA in his last seven starts.

WELL, HELLO AGAIN: Binghamton wraps up a stretch of eight games against the Fisher Cats in a 10 day span this weekend. It's the final series between these teams in 2015 and the first visit to Binghamton for New Hampshire since mid-May. The Fisher Cats have won 10 of the first 19 meetings in attempt to win the season series for the first time since 2011.

X MARKS THE SPOT: Xorge Carrillo's only games off in the past 12 days have been part of doubleheaders. The catcher hit his eighth home run of the season Thursday and is batting .355 (11-for-31) in his last nine games.

LUCKY NUMBER SEVEN: Xorge Carrillo is currently riding a seven-game hitting streak, his longest of the season. Meanwhile, TJ Rivera is also enjoying a seven-game hitting streak, which is tied for his longest this season. Rivera is batting .440 (11-for-25) during the streak, and .368 in 25 August games.

FIRST OFF: Gavin Cecchini has missed each of the past nine games for the B-Mets. Cecchini currently ranks second in the league in batting average (.317) and third in hits. TJ Rivera has filled in at shortstop and LJ Mazzilli in the leadoff spot for all nine games. The B-Mets have still managed to score nine or more runs in three of the nine games.

DOG DAYS: New Hampshire is batting .209 in the month of August, worst in the league. They are 4-for-their last 27 (.148) with men in scoring position. New Hampshire has gone 8-16 in their last 24 games, despite winning four of their last six.

SAME AS IT EVER WAS: Josh Rodriguez has recorded a hit in all five games since coming back from injury. He is 8-for-18 with two home runs in the five games.

HOME STRETCH: The B-Mets are in the middle of playing 20 games in 18 days to close out the season, including two doubleheaders. Tuesday's doubleheader was Binghamton's third in the past week. The B-Mets last scheduled day off was August 17th.

LAST FOUR: Binghamton has not won any of it's past four series, going 0-2-2. The B-Mets have split each of their past two series, against these Fisher Cats and the Erie SeaWolves. Binghamton is off to a 13-12 start in the month of August.
