
'Wolves Come from Behind to Beat Bowie

The SeaWolves snapped a three-game losing streak on Thursday night at Jerry Uht Park with a thrilling, 4-3 come from behind victory over the Bowie Baysox.
The Baysox struck first against Erie starter Trevor Feeney in the top of the fourth inning. Joe Mahoney walked, Brandon Waring singled and Caleb Joseph walked, loading the bases with no outs. Aaron Baker lifted a sacrifice fly to left, plating Mahoney for a 1-0 lead. Waring and Joseph advance to scoring position and scored on a Pedro Florimon single making it 3-0 Bowie.
The SeaWolves cut into the lead in the bottom of the fifth against Bowie starter Mike Ballard. Bryan Holaday led off the inning and turned on a ball and crushed it over the left field wall for his fifth home run. The solo blast made it a 3-1 game. It was the first home run for Holaday since June 30.
In the seventh, Erie cut into the Bowie lead once again. Rawley Bishop doubled down the left field line with one out and scored on a Holaday double making it a one-run game at 3-2.
In the eighth inning, the SeaWolves took their first lead of the night against reliever Armando Gabino. Shawn Roof led off and walked and Jamie Johnson followed with a single. Brandon Douglas attempted a sacrifice bunt but the Baysox got the lead runner at third. Erie then was aided by a Gabino walk with Justin Henry hitting pushing the runners into scoring position. The Baysox intentionally walked Henry to set up a potential double play. Bryan Pounds lifted a sacrifice fly to center, scoring the tying run as Johnson crossed the plate. Rawley Bishop followed with an RBI single in left, scoring Douglas, giving the 'Wolves their first lead of the night at 4-3.
Luis Marte (3-0) earned the win tossing four scoreless innings in relief allowing just one hit with two walks and two strikeouts.
Feeney took the no-decision allowing three runs on six hits with two walks and seven strikeouts in his Erie debut.
The SeaWolves continue a four-game series with the Baysox on Friday night at Jerry Uht Park.7:05 First Pitch. LHP Jay Voss (9-6, 3.33 ERA) takes the mound for Erie against RHP Tim Bascom (8-3, 3.26 ERA).
