
Senators Go Extras to Beat NH 6-4

On Thursday night in New Hampshire, the Harrisburg Senators defeated the Fisher Cats 6-4 in ten innings. Harrisburg blew a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the ninth, but bounced right back with two in the tenth for the win.
Rafael Martin picked up the win and moved to 4-1 on the season while Hassan Pena pitched a scoreless tenth for his ninth save. Erik Arnesen started for the Sens and pitched 6.1 innings, striking out seven. He left with the Sens up 4-2 in the ballgame.
Trailing 1-0 in the second, Chris Rahl had an rbi triple followed by an Archie Gilbert rbi double giving the Senators a 2-1 lead. Josh Johnson homered in the fifth making the score 3-1 Sens. After New Hampshire trimmed the lead to 3-2, Johnson doubled in Adam Fox in the seventh to give the Sens a 4-2 lead.
Tyler Moore, Chris Rahl, Archie Gilbert and Josh Johnson all had two hits for Harrisburg. It was the second straight game the Sens had double-digit hits.
Harrisburg has now won four straight on the road trip and improves to 74-57 on the season. With Bowie's loss to Erie, they now lead Bowie by 2 1/2 games while maintaining their four game advantage over Richmond, which beat Akron on Thursday night.
Game two of the four game series is Friday night at 7:05 p.m. with RH Shairon Martis on the mound for the Senators against MLB Rehab RH Dustin McGowan for New Hampshire.
