
R-Phils Win Series in New Britain

Reading Fightin Phils News Release
The R-Phils finished up their three-game series in New Britain with a 4-2 win over the Rock Cats to win the series two games to one. Reading reliever Mike Cisco tossed 3.1 scoreless innings to earn his eighth win of the season. Carlos Rivero went 1-5 with his team high 34th double of the season, as Reading won for the seventh time in their last 10 games.
The win for Reading was an important one, as they moved to two full games ahead New Britain in the standings. Reading now sits four games back and in sole possession of second place.
As for New Hampshire, they rolled all over Trenton and won by a score of 16-3. Catcher Travis d'Arnaud launched his 19th home run of the season, as New Hampshire won for second time in as many days. Trenton fell to 6.5 games back of first place, and 2.5 games back of Reading for second place.
Eligible Club The top two clubs in each Division shall be eligible to compete in the Eastern League playoffs. Playoff eligibility is determined by won loss record of each team. In the event a club has played a different number of games, due to postponed or other reasons, standings will be determined by won loss record, with no regard to winning percentage

- Reading hosts Portland -- 7:05 p.m.
- New Hampshire hosts Harrisburg -- 7:05 p.m.
- New Britain hosts Trenton -- 7:05 p.m.
Taking the mound for Reading in game one on Thursday will be RHP Tyson Brummett (3-7, 4.40). On the hill for Portland will be RHP Charlie Haeger (2-0, 3.34 ERA).
