MINNEAPOLIS/ST. PAUL - The Minnesota Lynx today finalized the team's roster for opening night - June 3 at Los Angeles.

Minnesota's 11-player roster includes two-time WNBA All-Star and U.S. Olympian Seimone Augustus, who is second among all active players in career scoring average (20.4 ppg); 2010 All-Star Rebekkah Brunson, who a season ago shattered all Lynx franchise single-season rebounding records, averaging a career-high 10.3 rebounds per game (second in the league); Lindsay Whalen, who enters the 2011 season 37 rebounds shy of becoming just the third player in WNBA history to amass over 2,500 points, 1,000 rebounds and 1,000 assists over a career; six-time WNBA All-Star Taj McWilliams-Franklin, who begins her 13th season in the WNBA first among all active players in career rebounds (2,631); and 2011 No. 1 overall draft choice Maya Moore.

In addition, after missing the final 20 games of the 2010 regular season due to a ruptured left Achilles tendon, the WNBA's 2008 Sixth Woman of the Year Candice Wiggins returns to the court for the 2011 campaign. Also returning is 2010 No. 2 overall draft pick and 2010 WNBA All-Rookie Team member Monica Wright, who averaged 11.1 points per game her first season in the league. Minnesota's leading three-point shooter (team-leading 46 made three-point shots), Charde Houston, returns for her fourth season in a Lynx uniform. After a standout career at Xavier University, the Lynx drafted 6-5 forward Amber Harris with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2011 WNBA Draft. Rounding out Minnesota's roster is guard Alexis Hornbuckle - acquired in a trade with the Tulsa Shock midway through the 2010 season; and Jessica Adair, who begins her second season with the Lynx after ending the 2010 campaign on Minnesota's roster.

Minnesota's 11-player roster includes three players who have won WNBA Championships (Brunson, Hornbuckle, McWilliams-Franklin), five players who have made at least one WNBA All-Star Game appearance (Augustus, Brunson, Houston, McWilliams-Franklin, Whalen) and five players currently on the U.S. Women's National Team roster (Augustus, Brunson, Moore, Whalen, Wiggins).

The entire Lynx coaching staff returns for its second season together behind Minnesota's bench. Head Coach Cheryl Reeve is joined by assistants Jim Petersen, who enters his third season with the Lynx, and Shelley Patterson, who enters her second season with the team.

Friday's regular-season opener at Los Angeles is set for 10:00 p.m. CT, with NBA TV providing live coverage.
