Manchester Monarchs News Release

MANCHESTER - Six-year-old Hannah of Manchester, a Make-A-Wish Foundation® of New Hampshire wish child, will drop the first puck at the Manchester Monarchs hockey game against the Providence Bruins at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday, January 15 at the Verizon Wireless Arena in Manchester. As part of the New Hampshire Credit Union League's (NHCUL) continued support of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire, a portion of all ticket sales from the game will go directly to the organization, which grants wishes to children facing life-threatening medical conditions.

Hannah, who was diagnosed four years ago with neuro-blastoma, a rare form of cancer that affects the nervous system, was granted her wish of a family trip to Disney World. Despite her continued battle with her illness, she helps the Make-A-Wish Foundation of New Hampshire during its many fund-raising efforts to help make other children's wishes come true.

Wishes granted in the past have ranged from giving a child a new puppy or going on a shopping spree, to going to Africa so the child could pet a cheetah or to New Mexico to learn how to be a cowboy.

The New Hampshire Credit Union League is a trade group which represents New Hampshire's 31 consumer-owned credit unions. Credit unions are not-for-profit financial cooperatives that offer a variety of consumer financial services to more than 363,000 New Hampshire residents and more than 85 million Americans.
