January 12, 2005 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Albany River Rats News Release

Albany N.Y. - The Albany River Rats announced today that Troy Mayor Harry J. Tutunjian will participate in a ceremonial puck drop prior to Saturday night's 7:30pm game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to acknowledge the 150 fans attending the game from the town's City Offices.

"Saturday should be a wonderful evening," Tutunjian said. "It will be one of those rare sporting events where you can truly root for the hometown Albany River Rats to get another win, but a lot of us from Troy will be cheering on our hometown boy Matt Murley as well. It should be a terrific time."

Former New Jersey Devils defenseman Ken Daneyko will also attend Saturday's game and will be available for autographs during the first and second intermissions on the Pepsi Arena concourse. Daneyko, one of five members of all three of New Jersey's Stanley Cup Championship teams, retired on July 11, 2003 following an 18-year National Hockey League career that included 1,283 regular season games, the most in franchise history and 37th in NHL history.

Fans can also win a trip to New York City, a $100 lunch voucher and tickets to see a live taping of the Conan O'Brien show at NBC Studios at Rockefeller Center courtesy of Newschannel 13 WNYT and Amtrak. Anyone 18 or older can enter to win the contest prior to the game by visiting the River Rats executive offices or merchandise store at Pepsi Arena during normal business hours.

The Albany River Rats, in their 12th season as a member of the American Hockey League, are owned and operated by Capital District Sports Inc., and serve as the primary affiliate of the National Hockey League's New Jersey Devils.
