Winterhawks Announce 2024 First Round WHL Playoff Schedule

Portland, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks are set to face the Victoria Royals in the first round of the 2024 WHL Playoffs beginning this Friday night in Portland. The Winterhawks clinched the No.2 seed in the Western Conference and will face the No.7 seed Royals.

Portland will host Games 1 and 2 of the series, as well as potential Games 6 and 7 if necessary.

Celebrate the start of the Winterhawks 13th consecutive playoff appearance with the FREE Toyota Fan Fest on Saturday, March 30 from 3:00 to doors at 5:00 p.m. Join us outside on the Rose Quarter Commons for a family-friendly pregame experience. Be sure to arrive early so you can welcome the Winterhawks players to the arena before Game 2 when they begin arriving at 3:00 p.m. Then, stick around for live music, ball hockey, prizes, food trucks, beer garden with beer, wine, and spirits, performances from the Rosebuds Dance Team and more! Fans 18+ can stop by the Ink Bus tattoo shop for some fresh ink, and those who get a Winterhawks tattoo can get into the game that night (or a future home playoff game) for FREE.

The Winterhawks won the U.S. Division title with a 47-15-4-1 regular-season record heading into their final game on Sunday. This year marked the Hawks' first U.S. Division championship since the 2019-20 season and the 15th overall division title in franchise history. Portland went 4-0-0-0 against Victoria during the regular season, with one game going to overtime and another going to a shootout.
