LINCOLN, NE - The Lincoln Saltdogs had their three-game winning streak snapped on Monday, losing 11-7 to Wichita at Haymarket Park. Lincoln drops to 42-37 on the season, 13-18 in the second half.

The game was tied at five after five innings, but Wichita took the lead for good with a four-run seventh. A single, a double, a sacrifice fly, a run-scoring balk and another single chased Lincoln starter Jake Marceaux (0-2). The Wingnuts added two more runs in the inning, and added two more in the eighth for an 11-5 lead. The Saltdogs got two back in the bottom of the eighth on RBI grounders by Juan Camacho and Brandon Jones, but could get no closer.

Both teams traded punches in the early innings, with Lincoln using the long ball extensively. Wichita scored single runs in both the first and second innings, but Albenis Machado hit a solo home run in the bottom of the second to get the 'Dogs on the board. The Wingnuts scored another run in the third, but Lincoln tied the game in the third on solo homers by Gavin Dickey and Juan Richardson. Wichita took the lead again with a pair of runs in the fourth, but Richardson answered again with a two-run shot in the fifth to tie the game at 5-5.

Richardson finished the night 2-for-2 with two home runs, giving him ten on the season, along with two walks, three RBI and two runs scored. Machado's home run was his second of the season, while Dickey's blast gave him 15 on the year, more than double his previous career high.

The two teams play game two of their three-game series Tuesday night at 7:05. Right-hander Jim Paduch is scheduled to make the start for the Saltdogs.
