WASHINGTON, PA - Shain Stoner drove in Joel Carranza for the game-winning run in the 10th inning and the Washington Wild Things defeated the Gateway Grizzlies 1-0 in extra-innings on Tuesday night at Consol Energy Park.
Gateway (2-2) and Washington (3-1) battled through nine scoreless innings before the Wild Things manufactured the game-winning run in the 10th inning. Gateway collected only three hits in the game. Jerod Yakubik, Antone DeJesus and Case Rigby accounted for the Grizzlies three hits.
The Grizzlies and Wild Things return to action on Wednesday night in Washington, PA. Left-hander Zach Robertson gets the start for Gateway. First pitch is set for 7:05 EST.
