May 14, 2026 - SAUGET, ILL. - The Gateway Grizzlies nearly clawed their way back from a 5-1 deficit in the middle frames on Thursday night, but allowed nine runs in the final three innings en route to a 14-5 loss to the Joliet Slammers at Arsenal BG Ballpark, dropping their record to 3-3 on the year.

Bryson Horne got the party started for the Grizzlies with a three-run home run to center field in the first inning, and Dale Thomas later scored on a wild pitch to make it 4-0 Grizzlies. It was the only inning Joliet starter Nick Cosentino (0-1) would throw in his Frontier League debut.

Alec Sparks, making his first professional start, labored to begin the game, needing 38 pitches to get out of a one-run first inning for the Joliet offense. May 9, 2026 - PEARL, MS - The Gateway Grizzlies dropped the rubber game of their season-opening series in Mississippi on Saturday night by a score of 9-4 at Trustmark Park after the Mud Monsters scored five runs in the bottom of the third inning on four walks and four hits.
