Grizzlies Drop Season Finale to Mississippi

September 6, 2026 - SAUGET, ILL. - The Gateway Grizzlies came up short in their final game of the 2026 season on Sunday night at Arsenal BG Ballpark, losing 8-2 to the Mississippi Mud Monsters on the "Greatest Night in Baseball." All-star pitcher Gage Vailes (5-7) got the final start of the year and was met in the first inning by a Kyle Booker solo home run, putting Mississippi up 1-0 early. Harris and Homers Down the Mud Monsters

September 5, 2026 - SAUGET, ILL. - The Gateway Grizzlies got a stellar performance on both sides of the ball on Saturday night at Arsenal BG Ballpark, as Ben Harris (8-6) twirled a complete game shutout while the offense pounded five home runs in a 9-0 victory over the Mississippi Mud Monsters. After nearly shutting out the Mud Monsters earlier in the season, Harris finished the job this time around, as the right-hander held Mississippi to just six singles and struck out two. Big Inning Leads Grizzlies to Win over Mud Monsters

September 4, 2026 - SAUGET, ILL. - The Gateway Grizzlies kicked off their ultimate series of the season with a 7-3 win on Friday night at Arsenal BG Ballpark, beating the Mississippi Mud Monsters thanks to a big second inning. The Mud Monsters drew first blood, scoring a run in the top of the first without the benefit of a hit against Ty Good (8-3) on an RBI groundout by A.J. Fritz.
