West Michigan Whitecaps News Release
COMSTOCK PARK, MI - Reserved seat tickets for two upcoming West Michigan Whitecaps games at Fifth Third Ballpark will be offered for a very special $2 price for those who qualify.
On Sunday, August 4, reserved seat tickets for children 12 and under will be available for $2. This special will become available today at 10 a.m. in person at the Fifth Third Ballpark ticket office, by phone to the Whitecaps ticket office (616-784-4131) or online at www.whitecapsbaseball.com. There is a limit of six child tickets per transaction.
Sunday's ticket special is presented by WGVU and Townsquare Media, and features Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Family Day when the first 1,000 kids 12 & under eat free, Bob Evans Kids Run The Bases post-game, and a special appearance by WGVU's Super Why. The first 1,000 ladies through the gate will receive a key; one of those keys will open a chest containing a diamond at Russell & Ballard Jewelers on Byron Center Ave.
On Monday, August 5, anyone bringing a church or community bulletin to the ticket window can purchase tickets for just $2. This special is only available in person day of only and there is a limit of eight $2 tickets per person. Monday's All Faiths Night ticket special is possible thanks to JQ99.
Both games are against the Dayton Dragons; the Sunday game begins at 1:00 p.m. and the Monday games starts at 7:00 p.m. Gates open one hour before game time.
Whitecaps President Scott Lane said the $2 promotion was designed to encourage those who haven't yet been to a game to do so before the end of the 2013 season.
"We're just four weeks away from the end of our 20th Anniversary season, and this is one way to thank the fans for all of their support" Lane said. "The summer has been flying by and will be over before you know it, and kids will go back to school. Anyone who hasn't been to a game yet, or hasn't been to enough games yet, can take advantage of this bargain and have money left over to try out some of the ballpark's unique food items."
Individual and group tickets for all remaining games are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Whitecaps front office at 616-784-4131, coming to the Fifth Third Ballpark box office (open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday) or visiting www.whitecapsbaseball.com
