Provost Academy Ohio's First Student to Throw Out First Pitch at Dragons Game

Dayton, OH - To celebrate the opening of Ohio's newest online school, Provost Academy Ohio, there's a very special night planned at Fifth Third Field, home of the Dayton Dragons on Wednesday, July 31st.

One of Provost Academy's first enrolled students, Alina Majeida (MA-HEY-DA) will throw out the ceremonial first pitch of the game against the Bowling Green Hot Rods. In addition, Jeff Wahl (WALL), President & CEO of EdisonLearning, and Naim Sanders, Executive Director, as well as additional Provost Academy Ohio students will take part in the opening ceremony.

Provost Academy is open to students in grades 6 through 12 enrolling for the fall. In contrast to other online learning programs, Provost Academy Ohio offers a robust, state-of-the-art curriculum with a strong base in math, science and technology, designed to be engaging, fun and targeted to multiple learning styles. All courses can be adapted to fit a student's individual needs, and content can be rearranged and customized for the individual student.

Provost Academy Ohio recently announced the appointment of Mr. Sanders as Executive Director. A former Columbus public school teacher and Adjunct Professor of Education at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio. Mr. Sanders spent seven years as a teacher and administrator in Columbus area community schools, founding one successful community school and serving as Principal of another before joining the Ohio Department of Education as a consultant.
