Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Bowling Green Hot Rods (affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) in the second game of a home-and-home four-game series.

Last Game: Dayton defeated Bowling Green 6-2 on Tuesday.

Individual Notes

- Seth Mejias-Brean has six home runs and 17 RBI over his last 12 games. He ranks fourth in all of professional baseball in July OPS at 1.176 (first in Single-A). In his last 18 games, he is 31 for 72, .431 to raise his average from .266 to .298.

- Beau Amaral is hitting .346 over his last 19 games to raise his average from .233 to .256. He has four straight multi-hit games and has hit safely in six straight games.

- Jesse Winker has driven in 21 runs in his last 18 games, belting five home runs.

- Joe Hudson is hitting .366 over his last 13 games, including his first professional home run, to raise his average from .234 to .258.

Home Game Madness: Over the last two homestands, the Dragons are 8-2. All eight wins have been comeback victories. Their eight wins have included five games in which they trailed by at least three runs; two grand slams that gave the team the lead in their final at-bat; two walk-off home runs; one win in which the Dragons came back from an 8-1 deficit; and a win in which they trailed by four runs going to the bottom of the seventh.

Team Notes

The Dragons current four-game winning streak ties their longest of the season. They also won four straight May 17-19 (all at South Bend). The Dragons are 17-8 (.680) over the last 25 games. They are 17-10 in July, tied for best record in the league. The Dragons are 25-26 on the road; 25-31 at home (14-7 in the second half at home). The Dragons have won six straight home games.

Playoff Push: With 32 games to play, the Dragons trail Great Lakes by one game in the race for the wildcard slot. They are two games out of first.
