MOOSIC, PA - Rob Refsnyder hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning as the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders knocked off the Rochester Red Wings 5-1 Saturday night at PNC Field, the sixth straight loss for the Wings.

The Red Wings (31-30) received an eight-inning complete game from Jason Wheeler (1-5) who allowed five runs, four earned, on 11 hits and one walk with four strikeouts. The sixth loss in a row is a season-high for Rochester.

Ivan Nova (1-0) made a rehab started and was impressive for the first-place RailRiders (37-27) as the only run he surrendered was a solo home run by Reynaldo Rodriguez in the fourth, the first homer for the Red Wings since game two on June 3 at Lehigh Valley, spanning eight games.

Refsnyder's homer came immediately following Rodriguez's blast that broke a scoreless tie. Scranton/WB would score twice more in the fifth but Rodriguez threw out a runner at the plate to end the inning. An unearned run in the eighth capped the scoring at 5-1.

Tonight's start by the Wheeler was the first by a Rochester starting hurler to throw more than 6.0 innings in a game since June 4. During the current losing skid, the Red Wings have yielded at least 10 hits in each contest.

James Beresford recorded his team-leading 21st multi-hit game with a 2-for-4 night while Eric Fryer matched a season-high by hitting in his seventh consecutive game, finishing 1-for-4.
