
WGIR-FM To Broadcast Monarchs Games This Weekend

MANCHESTER, NH â Radio play-by-play action of the Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, will be available on WGIR-FM (Rock 101.1) in the Manchester area on Friday, October 15 and Saturday, October 16 at 7:35 p.m., the team announced on Thursday. Both broadcasts will start with pre-game coverage at 7:00 p.m. Following this weekend's action, the Monarchs will return to their normal broadcast home in the Manchester area, WGIR-AM 610, the flagship home of the Monarchs Radio Network (WGIR-AM 610, Manchester; WGIN-AM 930, Rochester; WGIP-AM 1540, Exeter; WTSL-AM 1400, Lebanon). WGIN-AM, WGIP-AM and WTSL-AM will all carry the Monarchs radio broadcasts as originally scheduled this weekend. All Monarchs radio broadcasts are also available on the World Wide Web at www.monarchshockey.com.
The Monarchs are slated to open their fourth American Hockey League season at the Verizon Wireless Arena on Friday, October 15 when they host the Worcester IceCats at 7:35 p.m. (Rally Towel Night). They also are scheduled to host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:35 p.m. on Saturday, October 16 (Magnetic Schedule Night).
