Fans to vote on third jersey design Opening Night

HOUSTON, Texas – Houston Aeros fans will vote on a third jersey design during the team's home opener Saturday at Toyota Center, the team announced Thursday. Voting booths will be set up around the concourse as the Aeros take on the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks at 7:35 p.m.

Also, the Toyota Tundra parking garage will open to Aeros fans at 2 p.m. The Aeros and The Bus 2 will host an "Aeros and Astros in October" party beginning at 3 p.m. The Bus 2, located at the corner of Bell and La Branch across from Toyota Center, will offer several drink and food specials. The Astros face off against the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series at 3:15 p.m. prior to the Aeros home opener.

Specials include $2 drafts and well drinks and $1 hot dogs and barbecue sandwiches. Also, Chilly, Sonic Boom and Strike Force will be on hand, along with Slapshot, the Aeros inflatable hockey goal. Fans can try their hand at hockey by shooting pucks into the goal during commercial breaks.

Finally, Aeros season ticketholders are invited to pick up their lanyards during the game behind section 107. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are on sale now for the home opener. They can be purchased at the Toyota Center Box Office, aeros.com, select Randall's locations and by calling 1.866.GO.AEROS. The first 4,000 fans Saturday will receive commemorative Opening Night Pucks. Houston opens up the 2004-05 regular season Friday at 7 p.m. in San Antonio.
