Rampage announce 2004-05 opening night roster

SAN ANTONIO – Oct. 14, 2004 – The San Antonio Rampage announced today the club's opening night roster for the 2004-05 American Hockey League (AHL) regular season. The Rampage, the primary affiliate of the Florida Panthers, will have the following 22 players on their opening night roster:

23 Eric Beaudoin – LW

27 Petr Taticek – C

28 Kamil Kreps – C

35 Patrick DesRochers – G

36 Victor Uchevatov – D

Five first-round NHL draft picks are among the opening night squad, including Jay Bouwmeester, Patrick DesRochers, Lukas Krajicek, Petr Taticek and Stephen Weiss. Four players were second-round NHL draft picks, including Rob Globke, Kamil Kreps, Filip Novak and Victor Uchevatov.

Sixteen players who have previously played in a Rampage uniform are returning, including Eric Beaudoin, Bouwmeester, Gregory Campbell, Paul Healey, Greg Jacina, Ryan Jardine, Juraj Kolnik, Krajicek, Grant McNeill, Novak, Josh Olson, Serge Payer, Travis Scott, Taticek, Uchevatov and Weiss.

The Rampage open their third AHL season tomorrow against the Houston Aeros at the SBC Center at 7 p.m. All regular season games can be heard on the Rampage's flagship station "The Ticket" 760 AM (subject to conflicts) and via cybercast on www.sarampage.com.
