Charleston Dirty Birds News Release
CHARLESTON, WV (April 19, 2010) - The West Virginia Power's game against the Asheville Tourists, scheduled for Monday, April 19 at 7:05 pm at Appalachian Power Park, has been postponed due to unplayable field conditions. A broken irrigation system created conditions that were deemed unsafe for the players, and Power management consulted with both coaching staffs and umpires to make a decision. The game was rescheduled for early June when West Virginia travels to Asheville.
The Power host Greenville for a four-game series starting Tuesday at 7:05 pm. The problem with the irrigation system will be resolved by then, and no delays are expected to the start of the series between the Power and the Drive.
Tickets from Monday's game can be exchanged for tickets to any subsequent West Virginia Power game.
