RiverDogs Return For Second Homestand

CHARLESTON, SC - Charleston's favorite professional sports team returns home after an eight-game road trip as the RiverDogs faithful get eight more chances to "Be Their Own Fans!" The future Bronx Bombers first play host to the Rome Braves, the Single-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, for a four-game series from Saturday, April 24 to Wednesday, April 27.
True baseball fans can enjoy two games on April 24-25 as Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park hosts a doubleheader with The Citadel taking on Southern Conference rival Davidson both days before the RiverDogs' game. After the Rome series, the Holy City welcomes the Hickory Crawdads to town for another four-game set from Wednesday, April 28 to Monday, May 1. At this homestand the RiverDogs really bring the fun to town with Senior Night, Youth Baseball Night, Education Day and to top it all off, it's the 7th Annual Run, Forrest, Run 5K Race!

CCPRC Family Sunday and Seasoned Senior Day
Every Sunday home game is a Family Sunday and is sponsored by the Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission (CCPRC). Throughout the season, Sunday home games are packed with fun that ranges from face painting and inflatables on the concourse to Reading with the RiverDogs and Family Catch on the field prior to the game, and of course there's FREE parking and kids 12-and under eat FREE. It's also Seasoned Senior Day as our more seasoned fans can purchase $5 tickets prior to the game that include a hot dog and small fountain beverage. Seniors will also be able to purchase $4 tickets at the box office, not including food or beverage. Plus, the team will be signing autographs after the game. So come out Sunday and "Be Your Own Fan" or better yet, "Be Your Own Family!" Family Sunday / Seasoned Senior Day are presented by CCPRC and WIOP 95.9 FM.
98X Hair of the Dog Monday, 105.5 The Bridge Dogs with a Cause feat. Safe Kids and Youth Baseball Night
Whether you're the fan who likes $1 beers, comes out to support Dogs with a Cause or is involved in youth baseball, you're sure to find something to stand up and cheer about and "Be Your Own Fan" for this Monday. It's another 98X Hair of the Dog Monday, with $1 beers at the ballpark. Dogs with a Cause on Monday, April 26 feature Safe Kids, a nonprofit organization that brings injury prevention directly to kids and their families. Our younger fans can wear their uniforms to the park and march in the pre-game parade. Youth teams can even get special group rates. Contact the RiverDogs for more information. Bi-Lo Two-for-Tuesday, Kraft Singles Day and Education Day
Around The Joe, BYOF normally stands for "Be Your Own Fan" but Tuesday it's "Bring Your Own Friend!" Every Tuesday is Bi-Lo Two for Tuesday as fans can double their fun when you present your Bi-Lo Bonus Card at the box office window the day of the game and purchase two tickets for the price of one (valid on G.A., Upper Reserve and Lower Reserve seats). Every Tuesday is also Kraft Singles Tuesday Night Tickets as fans can redeem one Kraft Singles package wrapper for a buy-one, get-one free ticket at the box office. It's also our second Education Day of the season and the first pitch is tossed at 11:05 am. It's Baseball 101 at the ballpark, so get ready to swap pencils, books and dirty looks at the front gates for hot dogs, foam fingers and a little of bit of schoolin' ... RiverDogs style. It's a school day, so join students cheering on the RiverDogs. Charleston County Education Day is presented by Y 102.5 FM.
Wild Wednesday and Bring-Your-Own-Brush

Thirsty Thursday and the Sauce Boss
It's another Budweiser Thirsty Thursday with $1 beers and hot dogs in the Ashley View Pub. This Thursday we have a very special guest performing ... the one and only Sauce Boss, who entertains you as he feeds you. It's a multisensory soul-shouting picnic of rock and roll brotherhood that's sure to appeal to your innermost "Be Your Own Fan" of food, fun and rock n' roll. And at the end of the night, everybody eats gumbo. Thirsty Thursday/Sauce Boss are presented by Budweiser and 95 SX.
Force Protection Red Shirt Friday, Piggly Wiggly Post-Game Fireworks and Pro Scout Hall of Fame Celebration
"Be Your Own Fan" TV has shown us that our fans LOVE fireworks at the ballpark, great deals and, of course, baseball! And this Friday we put them all together! All Fridays are Force Protection Red Shirt Fridays; fans that wear a red shirt get a dollar off on the walk-up ticket price. Fans also have the option to donate that dollar to a military family with parents fighting overseas. The RiverDogs' faithful will also be treated to a spectacular Piggly Wiggly fireworks exhibition following the game. Help us honor Pittsburgh Pirates scout Jax Robertson as he represents the Class of 2010 in the Professional Scouts Hall of Fame, earning a place in history and The Joe's Pro Scout's Hall of Fame Wall. Webkinz Giveaway Night/ZOOperstars/Run, Forrest, Run 5K
The zany fan, the younger fan and the athletic fan will ALL have something to "Be Your Own Fan" about on this jam-packed Saturday! It's another Kia Country of Charleston Saturday at the Ballpark. The first 1,000 fans to arrive at the game will receive a Webkinz, courtesy of WTAT Fox 24. Don't forget that gates open at 6 pm. Throughout the game the ZOOperstars, those wild and crazy Muppet-like characters with familiar names, will be entertaining fans. After the contest kids 12-and under can run the bases. Saturday at the Ballpark /Webkinz giveaway are presented by Kia Country of Charleston and WTAT Fox 24. Prior to the game, lace up your running shoes and head to The Joe for the 7th Annual RiverDogs Run Forrest Run 5K Race and Fun Run. The course begins in front of The Joe and finishes at home plate, and is presented by Bubba Gump Shrimp Company and Coburg Dairy.
