MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have recalled defenseman Eric Werner from the ECHL's Reading Royals, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.

Werner, 24, has played in 56 games with the Monarchs this season compiling 28 points (5-23=28) and 29 penalty minutes. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound native of Gross Pointe Woods, Michigan, also collected seven points (3-4=7) and four penalty minutes in eight games with the Royals this season. Werner split the 2005-06 season between the Monarchs and Royals. In seven games with Manchester, he collected seven assists and 10 penalty minutes. With the Royals last season, Werner registered 42 points (12-30=42) and 38 penalty minutes in 58 games.
