AHL relaunches official playoff site at caldercup.com

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League announced today the re-launch of its official on-line home of the Calder Cup Playoffs, www.caldercup.com.

Hosted by Infinity Pro Sports and part of the AHL Internet Network, caldercup.com includes the latest news, features, images and real-time scores and statistics from the Calder Cup Playoffs. The site has links to allow you to watch or listen to every game on the road to the Calder Cup, rosters from every Calder Cup championship team over the last seven decades, championship photo galleries from years past, playoff record books, and more.

The AHL Internet Network also includes theahl.com (redesigned October 2006), ahlhalloffame.com (redesigned January 2007), ahlstore.com (redesigned March 2007) and all 27 official team sites, and hosts more than 240 million page views each year.

Now in its 71st season of play, the AHL continues to serve as the top development league for all 30 National Hockey League teams. More than 83 percent of today's NHL players are American Hockey League graduates, and more than 6.3 million fans have attended AHL games across North America in each of the past five seasons. Sixteen clubs will continue to vie for the league's coveted championship trophy when the 2007 Calder Cup Playoffs get underway next week.
