Chicago Wolves News Release
Dallas, TX. - B2 Networks today announced all remaining Chicago Wolves regular season and playoff games will be broadcast live on the revolutionary broadband network. For the first time during the highly successful partnership between the American Hockey League and B2, all 27 arenas will be broadcasting live action via broadband to hockey fans around the world.
The AHL game was broadcast by B2 Networks via its new state of the art "Triangulation Communication System". The revolutionary new broadcast origination technology intermeshes television broadcasts on the world's satellite, wireless and broadband distribution systems. The new system had been under development by B2 engineers for several years and was successfully launched last Saturday night when B2 broadcast the AHL contest between the Chicago Wolves and Grand Rapids Griffins to a world wide audience for viewing on TV Screens, computers and mobile devices.
"Twenty years of computer, software, telecommunication and broadcasting experience and development went into the creation and successful launch of our new "Triangulation Communications System" project," said Greg P. Bell, B2 Networks Owner and CEO. "Our company is very excited to use this system in Chicago and now apply this new technology to stadiums, arenas and venues to broadcast live events direct to homes and commercial establishments around the globe."
The next use of B2's new technology will come this weekend when the Wolves host the Iowa Stars on Saturday night, April 14, and then Sunday, April 15 when Chicago closes out their regular season by hosting the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights. The successful use of the Triangulation Communications system will allow B2 to broadcast all games from the 2007 Calder Cup playoffs regardless of location. Future use of the system will be announced at later dates.
