Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI-Milwaukee Admirals President Jon Greenberg announced today that tickets for the team's first two games in the American Hockey League's Calder Cup Playoffs are now on sale. The first game that the Admirals host in the 2007 playoffs will be at the Bradley Center on Tuesday, April 24th at 7:00 pm, while the date and time of the second game is still to be determined.
Tickets are available at the Admirals Office, located at 510 W. Kilbourn Ave, at the Bradley Center Box Office, by phone at (414) 276-4545 or on line at www.ticketmaster.com.
The Admirals currently occupy the third spot in the AHL's West Division with 89 points, and, with four games to go, will finish no better than third and no worse than fourth. Thus the Admirals will either play the second place team, currently Chicago, if Milwaukee finishes in third, or the first place team, currently Omaha, if the Ads finish in fourth in the West Division Semifinals. Regardless of their opponent the Admirals will open on the road for the first two games and then have their first home game on the 24th in the best-of-seven series.
The defending Western Conference Champions, the Admirals have qualified for the playoffs in each year they have been in the AHL with the exception of their first, the 2001-02 campaign. The Ads captured the 2004 Calder Cup Title, the first professional crown in team history, with a sweep of the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins in the finals. Milwaukee's All-Time Calder Cup Playoff record stands at 35 wins and 21 losses, including an 8-3 mark in 11 playoff series.
The Admirals are back in action Tuesday, April 10th at 7:00 pm when they host the Peoria Rivermen at the Bradley Center. For tickets fans can call Ticketmaster at (414) 276-4545 or log on to www.ticketmaster.com. Groups of ten or more people get a minimum of $2 off of each ticket by calling the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
