Kveton, Pyatt, Roche and Zaborsky Released from ATOs

Hartford, April 10, 2007: Hartford Wolf Pack general manager/head coach Jim Schoenfeld announced today that the Wolf Pack have released right wing David Kveton, center Tommy Pyatt, left wing Kenny Roche and left wing Tomas Zaborsky from their Amateur Tryout (ATO) agreements.

Kveton, a fourth-round draft pick (104th overall) by the parent New York Rangers in 2006, recently completed his season with the Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), where the 19-year-old winger from Novy Jicin, Czech Republic appeared in 31 games, tallying five goals and 27 assists for 32 points along with 17 penalty minutes.

Pyatt skated in one game with the Pack this season, registering no points or penalty minutes. The 20-year-old Thunder Bay, Ontario native finished up this season with the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL, registering 43 goals and 38 assists for 81 points, along with 18 penalty minutes in 58 games.

Roche, a third-round draft pick (75th overall) by the parent New York Rangers in 2003, appeared in three games with the Wolf Pack this season, registering one assist for one point along with two penalty minutes. The 23-year-old South Boston, Massachusetts native recently completed a four-year college career at Boston University (Hockey East). In 38 games this season with the Terriers, the left wing notched 12 goals and 17 assists for 29 points, along with 28 penalty minutes.

Zaborsky was a fifth-round draft pick (137th overall) by the parent New York Rangers in 2006. The 19-year-old left wing appeared in 59 regular-season games with the Saginaw Spirit of the OHL this season, tallying 19 goals and 24 assists for 43 points and 18 penalty minutes. The 5-11, 188-pound native of Trencin, Slovakia was +18 this season with Saginaw.

The Pack finish out the regular season with only two games this week. The last home game of the regular year is scheduled for Friday night, and it's "Fan Appreciation Night," as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers invade the Hartford Civic Center to complete the GEICO Connecticut Cup series (7:00 p.m.). Then game number 80 for the Pack in their tenth anniversary season is Sunday in Portland, as they battle the Pirates in a 4:05 p.m. game.
