The Iowa Stars begin a 3 games-in-3 nights set that will close out the year 2006 tonight when they travel to Omaha, NE to take on the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights. Reminder to fans that the game on Sunday, December 31st will have a special 7:30 PM start time.
Friday, December 29th, 7:00 PM @ Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights
The Iowa Stars travel down I-80 to the shores of the Missouri River to take on their Division rivals the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights. The Stars and Knights will play each other three times this week before the year 2006 ends on Sunday night. Tonight is Iowa's fourth trip to Omaha this season. Saturday, December 30th, 7:05 PM vs. Milwaukee Admirals
The Iowa Stars return home to Wells Fargo Arena on Saturday, December 30th to face-off with the Milwaukee Admirals at 7:05 PM. It's Black Jersey Night as the Stars will once again be wearing their Black Third Jerseys. This is the second trip to Downtown Des Moines that the Admirals have made this season. Sunday, December 31st, 7:30 PM vs. Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights
The Iowa Stars and the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights face-off against each other for the third time in a week on New Year's Eve at Wells Fargo Arena. Celebrate the New Year in Downtown Des Moines with the GuideOne ImaginEve event at Hy-Vee Hall from 2-6:30 PM. This alcohol-free event will feature clowns, inflatables, games and much more. The event is free and open to the public. After the fireworks at 6:30, make your way across the street for the game between the Stars and Knights. SPECIAL START TIME FOR THIS GAME WILL BE 7:30 PM. All kids that attend the ImaginEve event will receive a voucher for a $5 ticket to the Stars game. While at the game enjoy the entertainment of the ZOOperstars! as they perform during the first and second period intermissions.
