Manitoba Moose News Release

The Vancouver Canucks, the NHL affiliate of the Manitoba Moose, announced they have re-assigned defenceman Yannick Tremblay to the Moose.

Tremblay, 31, has appeared in nine games with the Moose this season, where he's scored three goals and three assists for six points and 20 penalty minutes. The Montreal, PQ native missed 17 games due to an ankle injury suffered back on Oct. 13/06 vs. Philadelphia.

Tremblay appeared in seven games with Vancouver after his recall on Dec. 6/06. In that time, he collected a goal and two assists for three points, all coming in his first game with Vancouver back on Dec. 8/06 versus Carolina. Tremblay has now played in 385 NHL games in his career, recording 38 goals, 87 assists (38-87-125) and 174 penalty minutes. In 2003-04, Tremblay played for the Atlanta Thrashers recording 10 points (2-8-10) and 13 penalty minutes in 38 games played. The defenceman played a total of five years with the Thrashers and prior to that was a member of the Toronto Maples Leafs for three seasons.

Tremblay was originally drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs 145th overall in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft.
