The Fightin Phils (29-25) fought back at one point in the game just to see it let go in the bottom of the ninth as the Binghamton Mets (27-27) won 8-7 at NYSEG Stadium. Michael Conforto of Binghamton hit the game-winning hit.

Reading jumped out to a 3-0 lead over Binghamton starter Michael Fulmer in the top of the 2nd inning as Cam Perkins hit a RBI double, Brodie Greene hit a RBI single and Gustavo Pierre added a RBI groundout. The B-Mets took a 4-3 off Biddle and the Fightin Phils with two outs as Brock Peterson hit a grand slam. Gustavo Pierre committed an error that allowed Yeixon Ruiz to jump start the rally. All runs were un-earned.

Binghamton scored a run in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings off Biddle to take a 6-3 lead. Biddle allowed six runs (one earned) through five innings with two walks and three strikeouts. Colton Murray came in relief and pitched two scoreless innings after the Fightin Phils erupted for four runs off Fulmer in the top of the sixth inning.

Aaron Altherr hit a two-run home run, his fifth of the season. Rene Garcia hit a RBI single and Gustavo Pierre hit his second RBI groundout to give the Fightin Phils a 7-6 lead. Nefi Ogando (2-2)pitched a scoreless eighth inning but would allow a walk-off two run double with one out to blow his fourth save of the season.

Cameron Perkins continues his hot hitting as he went 2 for 4 with two doubles, two runs scored an a RBI.

The Fightin Phils are back at it with the B-Mets on Saturday night. First pitch is at 7:05 pm on Saturday night. Fans can listen to the game on CBS Sports Radio 1240 AM/98-5 FM and fightins.com beginning at 6:35 pm.
