Utah's Kinasewich Named ECHL Player of the Week

Las Vegas, Nevada - The ECHL announced today that Utah Grizzlies left wing Ryan Kinasewich has been named the In Glas Co ECHL Player of the Week for Dec. 18-24, 2006.

In two road games last week versus Bakersfield, Kinasewich had five goals and one assist, including his first hat trick (3rd of his Grizzlies career) of the season on Friday. In addition, during the two games, Kinasewich led the Grizzlies with 20 shots on net. The 23-year-old leads Utah with 15 goals and 12 assists in 23 games played.

Kinasewich carries a four-game scoring streak into tonight's action. Over that span, he has tallied six goals and three assists. The third-year pro also leads Utah with nine multiple-point games.

Last season, he finished tied for the ECHL lead with 39 goals scored. Last night, Kinasewich scored his 150th career ECHL point in his 126th career ECHL game.

On behalf of Ryan Kinasewich, a case of pucks will be donated to a West Valley City area youth hockey organization by In Glas Co, the exclusive puck supplier for the ECHL. Since beginning its sponsorship of the award in 2000-01, In Glas Co has donated more than 15,000 pucks to youth hockey organizations in ECHL cities.

The Grizzlies return to action tonight in Las Vegas. Face-off is scheduled for 8:05 p.m. Utah hosts Las Vegas Saturday at the E-Center at 7:05 p.m.
