READING,PA - The Wheeling Nailers made it two wins in a row Friday afternoon as they defeated the Reading Royals 3-2 in front of over 5,400 fan at the Sovereign Center.

Wheeling got the on the scoreboard early with a power play goal by Ned Havern at 4:56 of the first period. The goal was Havern's third goal since returning to the Nailers roster Wednesday night.

The Royals came right back and evened the score at 1 with a 5 on 3 power play goal by Heibert less than a minute after the Nailers tally. The first period would end 1-1.

The Nailers dominated the second period play with two goals. Joe Guenther would scored the first goal of the period giving the Nailers a 2-1 lead at 5:35. Later Ryan Moren would net the game winner at 12:24.

The Royals would get a goal in the third period but it was not enough as the Nailers would go on to get their twelfth win of the season 3-2.

The Nailers return to home ice this Saturday to face the Johnstown Chiefs on Collectors puck giveaway night. The first 2500 fans will receive a Fibernet collectors puck and stand. Face Off is set for 7:30 PM
