Utah Grizzlies Sign With B2 Networks
November 23, 2005 - ECHL (ECHL)
Utah Grizzlies News Release
West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies announced today they have signed an agreement making B2 Networks the exclusive broadband broadcaster of the team. This partnership makes Utah the 23rd ECHL team to have their games broadcast worldwide by B2.
Grizzlies faithful will soon be able to watch all home games and most road games this season. Fans wanting to watch the Utah Grizzlies via B2 will need a high speed internet connection and Windows Media Player 9 or higher. All games cost $6 and can be accessed through the team website, www.utahgrizzlies.com . All games will also be audio streamed for free on the team's home page.
"It is very important to have our games broadcast on the internet," said Chuck Schell, Utah Grizzlies General Manager. "We realize that people are not always going to be near a radio, and the internet is now an easy alternative to hear and see our games."
With the addition of the Grizzlies, B2 Networks is now scheduled to broadcast more than 840 ECHL regular season games. In all, more than 3,000 hockey games will be broadcast on B2 during the 2005-06 season. The partnership with Utah ensures more hockey action will be available to the ECHL's growing National Conference fan base.
"We are very happy to add the Utah Grizzlies to the network," said Greg P. Bell, B2 Networks Owner and CEO. "After we had partnered with all the Eastern-based ECHL teams, we wanted to make sure fans out west had the same opportunity to watch their favorite teams. By adding the Grizzlies to the network, we can better serve not only Utah fans, but all hockey fans of National Conference teams."
B2 Networks (b2now.com) is a premier provider of reliable and secure international television and video broadcasting systems, pay-per-view and billing systems. The broadband broadcasting company's network of arenas, stadiums, local venues, billing systems and data centers are currently in use to distribute live events to computer and television screens around the world.
