TRENTON, NJ (November 23, 2005) - Two goals scored 3:17 apart at the end of the second period proved to be the decisive tallies for the Trenton Titans in a 2-1 victory over the Johnstown Chiefs on Wednesday at Sovereign Bank Arena.

3,347 saw the Chiefs take a 1-0 lead with 2:15 left in the first period during a 4-on-4 situation. Brady Greco threw a shot in on Titans goaltender Rejean Beauchemin and Joe Tallari was able to pound home the rebound for his second goal of the year.

Trenton used their first power play goal in three games to tie the score. After a face-off win by Scott May, Scott Bertoli fired a wrist shot that deflected off the shoulder of Chiefs netminder Jonathan Boutin and trickled over the goal line at 16:42 of the second period.

With time dwindling down in later in the frame, Chris Thompson found a loose puck in the far corner of the Johnstown zone and swung it toward Boutin, where May tapped home the rebound with 0.4 seconds remaining on the clock to make the score 2-1.

The Titans limited the Chiefs to just 6 shots in the third period and 24 for the game to help Beauchemin record his first ECHL win. Boutin fell to 1-3-1 making 32 saves on the night.

The Titans went 1-for-3 on the man advantage and 5-for-5 on the penalty kill.

The Trenton Titans will travel to Johnstown for a rematch with the Chiefs on Friday, November 25 at 7:30pm. Fans can tune into WTSR 91.3FM or go to www.trentontitans.com to listen or watch live courtesy of b2 Networks.
