Bombers Communication Director headed to NHL for one game

Dayton, OH - The Dayton Bombers of the ECHL announced on Wednesday Director of Communications and play-by-play broadcaster David J. Miller will be working as the Public Address Announcer at this Friday's National Hockey League game featuring the Buffalo Sabres and Montreal Canadiens at HSBC Arena in Buffalo, New York.

"This business is all about opportunity", said Miller. "I'm very happy to be on the Sabres employment short list after all these years." Miller served as the Executive Producer and Radio Host for the Buffalo Sabres from 1995-1997. He also worked as a Sports Talk Show Host on WNSA-FM in Buffalo from 2000-2002.

"We are happy for David to get this opportunity, even if it's only for one game," said Bombers President Costa Papista. "It's really great to see an NHL team call to utilize his talent."

The Sabres (11-9-1, 23 points) are led by Daniel Briere, who has recorded 20 points in 20 games, and rookie sensation Thomas Vanek. The Canadiens (15-5-3, 31 points) top offensive threat is captain Saku Koivu who has 25 points in Montreal's first 22 games.

The Dayton Bombers, proud "AA" affiliate of the National Hockey League's Columbus Blue Jackets, are celebrating their 15th Anniversary this season. The Bombers expect to entertain the two millionth fan in franchise history when they return home Friday to host the Wheeling Nailers at 7:05 PM.
