Utah Flash News Release

Orem, Utah, Nov. 1, 2010 - Forward Brandon Costner was selected by the Utah Flash in the first round of the 2010 NBA D-League Draft. An early entry candidate for the 2009 NBA Draft, Costner spent the 2009-10 season with Dexia Mons-Hainaut of the Belgium D1 League. He spent his college career at North Carolina State where he averaged 12.6 points and 5.9 rebounds over the span of this college career.

"The draft went exactly the way we were hoping to," said head coach Kevin Young. "I'm excited to see all of our 17 players come to training camp and compete for a roster spot."

Along with the addition of Costner, the Flash had many great additions to their roster. From the second to the eighth round, the Flash selected Nkem Ojougboh from Northeastern University, D'Andre Bell from Georgia Tech, Darren Kent from Kansas State, Richard Shields from Rutgers University and Carlos Medlock from Eastern Michigan, Amadou Mbodji from Jacksonville State, and Kent Tuttle from Brigham Young University.

The Flash start their training camp on Nov. 9 at APX Alarm Headquarters in Provo. Utah opens their season with five games on the road, and return home for their season opener against the Austin Toros on Dec. 3. All home games will be held at the UCCU Center.
