BayHawks Draft Eight Players to Complete Training Camp Roster

Erie, Pennsylvania, Monday, November 1 - The Erie BayHawks selected Ivan Johnson with the 15th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Development League Draft on Monday night. The 6-8 power forward from Cal State-San Bernadino was the first of eight selections made by the team.
The serpentine format of the draft also provided Erie the 18th overall selection in which the team took Kyle Spain (6-5, guard) from San Diego State.
"Having two of the top 18 picks turned out to a good situation for us," said BayHawks head coach Jay Larranaga. "We feel great about Johnson and Spain and are generally pleased with how the whole night went. I'm excited about opening camp on Saturday."
The Reno Bighorns selected Nick Fazekas (6-11, forward) from Nevada with the first overall pick.
The BayHawks open a ten-day training camp on Saturday at the LECOM Fitness & Wellness Center where sixteen players will compete for ten roster spots.
