U.S. Ambassador Tests His Arm at Lynx Stadium

OTTAWA - U.S. Ambassador David Wilkins will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before tomorrow's Lynx game against the Pawtucket Red Sox.

Ambassador Wilkins, who has held the position of American ambassador to Canada since June 2005, will be making his third annual appearance on the Lynx Stadium mound. He will take to the field tomorrow night at approximately 6:55pm and throw to Lynx outfielder Matt Padgett.

Photographers will be permitted on the Lynx Stadium to record the first pitch. All cameras are asked to be in position by 6:45pm.

This is the first season the Lynx are the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. The Lynx Box Office is Open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm. Ticket information can be found at www.ottawalynx.com or by calling 613 747-LYNX (5969).
