Ottawa Lynx News Release

OTTAWA - Thousands of fans pour through the Lynx Stadium doors every year. Tomorrow's game will see three California men make their first visit to Lynx Stadium as part of an annual summer tradition.

Lon Haskew, Mac McFarland and Bill Jasper have included Wednesday's game between the Lynx and Pawtucket Red Sox in their 19th annual baseball road trip. Over the years, the three men have seen 103 games in 94 different stadiums, accumulating more than 36,600 miles in cars.

The three former co-workers have seen games in 48 U.S. states plus Washington, D.C. They have also made the trip North of the border, having visited four Canadian provinces to see games in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver and Calgary. Toronto was included in their very first trip, in 1989, and the only rainout in their first 18 trips occurred at Nat Bailey Stadium in Vancouver.

This year's trip will take Haskew, McFarland and Jasper to Richmond, Baltimore, Syracuse, Binghamton and Buffalo, in addition to their stop in Ottawa.

This is the first season the Lynx are the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies. The Lynx Box Office is Open Monday to Friday from 10 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 10 am to 4 pm. Ticket information can be found at www.ottawalynx.com or by calling 613 747-LYNX (5969).
