
Mud Hens Host Two West Division Rivals in Two Series at Home

The Mud Hens are returning to Toledo to take on IL West rivals the Columbus Clippers and the Indianapolis Indians. This is the fourth time the Hens have faced the Indians and the fifth time the Hens have faced the Clippers in the 2007 season. The Hens start the homestand off by facing the Clippers in a three-game series from August 17-19. Toledo will follow that series up with a four-game series against Indianapolis from August 20-23. Indianapolis is currently in second place in the IL West and the Hens lead them by eight games. Columbus is in last place in the IL West. This fun-filled homestand will feature appearances by SpongeBob Squarepants and Patrick the Starfish, the 1967 Toledo Mud Hens Governors' Cup Champions, a 1967 throwback jersey auction, an autograph Sunday, giveaways and post-game fireworks after four games!
Toledo Mud Hens Promotions for August 17 - 23
Friday, August 17 (Columbus, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - This game will be the first of a three-game series against the Clippers. The weekend series will celebrate the 1967 Mud Hens Governors' Cup Champions 40th anniversary. The '67 Hens will be available during the game for autographs. The first 2,000 fans to enter Fifth Third Field will receive a travel mug sponsored by Direct Energy. Post-game excitement includes fireworks presented by The Pharm. The contest between the Hens and the Clippers can be heard live on Sports Radio 1470 AM - The Ticket and seen on BCSN.
Saturday, August 18 (Columbus, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - The continuous weekend-long anniversary celebration will be highlighted by this night's 1967 Throwback Jersey Auction to benefit United Way of Greater Toledo. The '67 Hens will be available during the game for autographs. The 1967 Hens will be honored during a pre-game on-field ceremony. The Tiffin University Marching Band will also be present during the pre-game ceremony by performing the national anthem. The seventh inning stretch will also include God Bless America, performed by Will from MTV's Making the Band 4. Stick around after the game for a breathtaking fireworks display. Sunday, August 19 (Columbus, 1st pitch @ 6:30 p.m.) - This game marks the last game of the three-game series against the Clippers. Come meet SpongeBob Squarepants and his friend, Patrick the Starfish, at the game! As with every Sunday at Fifth Third Field, there will be a Blade Baseball/Cheer Card giveaway. In addition, two members of the Mud Hens will sign FREE autographs for fans in section 119 of the main concourse from 5:45-6:15 p.m. Sundays also feature Kids Run the Bases day, where kids can line up after the game and run around the bases just like the Hens. Also after the game will be a sensational fireworks display. Fans can hear all of the action live on Sports Radio, 1470 AM and live on BCSN.
Monday, August 20 (Indianapolis, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) -This marks the first game

Tuesday, August 21 (Indianapolis, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - This game is the second Verteran's Night, presented by the United States Marine Corps, this season at Fifth Third Field. Fans can hear all of the action live on Sports Radio, 1470 AM and live on BCSN.
Wednesday, August 22 (Indianapolis, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - The first 3,000 fans to enter Fifth Third Field will receive Go Hens Thunderstix. Fricker's Chicken will make an appearance at the game as well. Fans can hear all of the action live on Sports Radio, 1470 AM and live on BCSN.
Thursday, August 23 (Indianapolis, 1st pitch @ 7 p.m.) - This is the final game of the four-game series against the Indianapolis Indians and the final game of the homestand. Myron Noodleman will be at the game, so come out and see the witty comedian. The first 3,000 fans will receive Go Hens Thunderstix as they enter Fifth Third Field.
