Omaha Storm Chasers News Release

Papillion, Neb. - The Omaha Storm Chasers (41-41) lost 6-4 to the Toledo Mud Hens (42-41), despite a two-home run night from left fielder Brewer Hicklen.

The Storm Chasers started the scoring in the bottom of the first when first baseman Nick Pratto hit a homer to give the Chasers the early lead.

Omaha put a rally together in the bottom of the second, starting off with Hicklen drawing a walk. Hicklen stole second base before shortstop Iván Castillo hit a single to put runners at the corners with no outs. Catcher José Briceño hit a single into left field to push the score to 2-0.

The Mud Hens put up three runs in the third, using a single, a walk, a fielder's choice, and a pair of doubles to take the lead 3-2.

In the bottom of the frame, Pratto drew a leadoff walk before second baseman Michael Massey hit a single on a line drive into right field. With the hit, Massey extends his on-base streak to 22 games. Entering the game, Massey held the second longest active on-base streak in the International League. Omaha came away empty in the inning.

Toledo came back in the fourth and doubled their lead on a double and a single. The Mud Hens put another up in the fifth to push their lead to 5-2.

Center fielder Dairon Blanco hit a single to start the bottom of the fifth inning, extending his hitting streak to 14 games, the longest active streak in the league and now the longest hitting streak by a Storm Chaser this season.

Hicklen hit his 12th home run of the season in the sixth to make the deficit two at 5-2 heading into the seventh.

The Mud Hens used a trio of walks and a ground rule double to put another run up in the seventh before putting up two more in the eighth to make the score 8-3.

Hicklen hit his second home run of the night to lead off the bottom of the ninth, the third time this season that Hicklen has had two homers in the same game. Castillo hit a double with no outs but ended up stranded at second as the Chasers lost 8-4.
