Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announce that the KC's Auto Land K-Wings' Freestar along with Kalamazoo's favorite mascot, Slappy will be participating in the annual Paw Paw Parade this Saturday, December 5th.
The parade, which heads through downtown Paw Paw, begins at 10 a.m.
On Tuesday, December 8th, join Slappy with K-Wing players Blake Friesen, Bryan Jurynec and Sal Peralta at the Culver's on South Westnedge for a Kidz Club party from 5-7 p.m. Kidz Club members that bring their club ID badge will receive a food discount.
The K-Wings will return to Wings Stadium to commence a season-high eight-game home stand on Wednesday, December 9th with a 7 p.m. encounter versus the Reading Royals.
Last month, the K-Wings were named the Best Sports Team in Southwest Michigan in an online vote by the Kalamazoo Gazette. As a way to thank the community of southwest Michigan, the K-Wings organization will make all ticket prices for the game on Wednesday, December 9th versus the Reading Royals $3, the same price tickets were during the K-Wings 1974-75 inaugural season.
Next Friday, December 11th, the K-Wings will host the Wheeling Nailers at 7:30 p.m. on B-93 Night, featuring the musical group, Steel Magnolia. The winners of CMT's "Can You Duet" will sing the National Anthem, perform during the first period intermission and sign autographs between the second and third periods. December 11th will also be a Frugal Fan Friday, which means Wings Stadium will offer $1 beer and $1 hot dogs.
On Saturday, December 12th the K-Wings will host the 10th Annual Teddy Bear Toss game presented by WKFR. Single-game tickets for any regular season home game are currently on sale at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office.
