Thunder RW Power Sent To Wheeling For Future Considerations

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, the proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League and Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League, has acquired future considerations from the Wheeling Nailers in exchange for rookie right wing Colin Power, Thunder head coach Matt Thomas announced today.

Power, 25, has skated in 15 games with the Thunder this season and scored one goal and one assist while collecting 32 penalty minutes.

The 5-foot-11, 205-pound forward was signed by the Thunder as a free agent on Aug. 25, 2009. The transaction is the eighth in the last three days affecting the Thunder roster. The current roster stands at 22 players (20 skaters, 1 goaltender, 1 emergency backup goaltender).

The Thunder was voted "Best Local Sports Team" by readers of the San Joaquin Magazine, has led the ECHL in attendance for four consecutive seasons and drew 223,854 fans to Stockton Arena in 2008-09.
