
Turner Called up to AHL Binghamton

Defenseman Brennan Turner has been called up to the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League. Turner makes his second trip to the AHL this season.
Turner was re-assigned to Gwinnett from the Elmira Jackals by the Binghamton Senators on January 25th as Gwinnett traded defenseman Drew Paris for the rights to Turner. The defenseman has recorded 14 points (one goal, 13 assists) in 56 ECHL games this season with Gwinnett and Elmira and has earned three assists in 19 games with the Gladiators. Turner has also skated in four games in the AHL with Binghamton this season after he was recalled to the AHL on February 11th.
The Foam Lake, Saskatchewan native tallied 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 62 games last season with the Jackals. He also earned five assists in five Kelly Cup Playoff games with Elmira last season.
Turner skated with the Gladiators during the 2008-09 season. He recorded 14 points (one goal, 13 assists) with the Gladiators and added an assist in five Kelly Cup Playoff Games. Turner also earned four points (two goals, two assists) in 29 points with the Fresno Falcons before being re-assigned by the Chicago Blackhawks from Fresno to Gwinnett. Turner also skated in three games with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League during the 2008-09 season.
Turner played three seasons at Yale University from 2005 to 2008. He earned three points in 58 career collegiate games with the Bulldogs. Turner was selected in the 5th round with the 134th overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
