
Blades Roster Shifts Again

Florida Everblades News Release
ESTERO, FL - Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced today that the team has signed a pair of rookies out of the college ranks and that goaltender Jaroslav Janus has been recalled to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Joining the Club
The newest members of the Everblades are defenseman Eric Olimb out of the University of Nebraska-Omaha and forward Tyler Helfrich out of R.P.I.
Olimb (prounounced: OH-lim) joins the Everblades after helping lead the Mavericks to the NCAA tournament before falling in overtime to Michigan last Friday in the opening round. As the only senior defenseman on the Nebraska-Omaha squad, the Warroad, Minnesota native was the top defensive scorer registering 27 points (3g, 24a) in 39 games. During his collegiate career the 24-year-old combined to score 62 points (9g, 53a) in 141 games from 2007-11 with the Mavericks.
Helfrich comes to the Everblades after helping lead R.P.I. to the NCAA tournament by posting 38 points (14g, 24a) in 38 games, which ranked second on the team. The 23-year-old winger finished second on the team in power play goals and game-winning goals this past season. Overall in his collegiate career with the Engineers, the Calgary, Alberta native amassed 106 points (33g, 73a) in 135 games from 2007-11.
Heading Up
Janus (pronounced: YAHN-is) heads back up to Norfolk after a quick return to the Everblades earlier this week. Overall in six call-ups to the Admirals this season Janus 0-2-1 in four appearances with a 4.97 goals against average and an .819 save percentage.
With the Everblades this season Janus has seen action in 26 games, posting a 12-13-0 record with a 3.06 goals against average and a .912 save percentage.
